A prestigious luxury hotel in Shanghai is seeking a dynamic and marketing-oriented Managing Director (MD) to lead operations and drive the hotel's strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Sales & Marketing (S&M) and branding, coupled with a vibrant and engaging personality. Experience with renovations and a passion for events, ceremonies, and creative initiatives are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of the hotel’s strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals.
Drive a culture focused on performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Actively engage in marketing, branding, and promotional activities, including video projects, award submissions, and event participation.
Develop and mentor the hotel’s leadership team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Ensure compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational best practices.
Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including ownership, corporate leadership, and the local community.
Manage renovation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
Key Requirements
Minimum 10 years of experience as an Operational General Manager in luxury hotels.
Strong expertise in Sales & Marketing, with a proven track record in branding and public relations.
Vibrant and outgoing personality , capable of engaging in events and creative projects.
Experience in the Chinese market is a strong advantage.
Ability to lead by example, mentor teams, and drive operational excellence.
Fluent in English, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
Previous experience managing renovation projects is preferred.
