A prestigious luxury hotel in Shanghai is seeking an experienced **General Manager (GM)** to lead its operations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale hotels with a strong F&B background and a proven track record in the Chinese market. This is a high-profile role reporting directly to the Area Vice President.
**Key Responsibilities**
Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and strong financial performance.
Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth across all departments, with a particular focus on F&B excellence.
Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high service standards and operational efficiency.
Lead and inspire department heads and team members, creating a culture of excellence and innovation.
Analyze market trends and develop competitive strategies to strengthen the hotel's market position.
Collaborate with owners and regional leadership to align with brand and organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate standards.
**Key Requirements**
Experience**: Minimum of 5 years as General Manager of a large-scale luxury hotel, preferably with strong F&B operations.
Market Knowledge**: Proven experience in the Chinese market is essential, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances and operational challenges.
Leadership**: Strong ability to lead diverse teams and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
Language**: Fluent English is required; proficiency in Mandarin is a strong advantage.
Personality**: Smart, adaptable, and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills. Arrogant or rigid styles are not suitable.
Age Limit**: Preferably below 55 years old.
Cultural Fit**: Open-minded and capable of building a harmonious working relationship with senior leadership.
